USMC Angels was founded by Melanie L. Joseph, wife of a United States Marine who is currently deployed. She is the mother of four children, runs a home-based business and just recently quit her full time job to dedicate herself to the organization full time.

She started this organization with the desire to help deployed Marines and their families.  Through her own knowledge and the experiences of her own husband's deployment, she hopes to be able to assist these soldiers through their time of need.

Melanie L. Joseph is also part of the United States Marine Corps. Key Volunteer Network.  She is an assigned KV for Golf Company 2/25 Marines.  She is a liason between the Marine Corp and the families of the Marines.

What We Do

With the help of corporate sponsors and private donations, our USMC Angels  send out cards, letters and care packages to USMC soldiers deployed overseas.  Sometimes it's a hardship for the family of a deployed soldier to acquire the items that their soldier so desperately needs and wants.  And to affor the postage to mail those packages as well. There are also soldiers out there with no family or friends to send them anything.  Our goal is to be the angel family these soldiers need to watch over them while they are in harms way.

We also would like to help the soldiers' wives, fiances, and girlfriends who are expecting a child while their soldier is away.  Since that soldier cannot provide a gift due to his/her absence USMCangels can send a gift on their behalf as well as our own.  Additionally, we would like to provide a birthday card or teddy bear for deployed Marines' children on their birthdays.  Soldiers do not have the opportunity to go to a toy store for a gift to mail home, but with our help, they can. 

We are growing and creating new programs everyday.

Im sure you've heard the sayings "Once a Marine, Always a Marine" and "The Few, The Proud, The Marines".  Well, all that is true and they are the best of the best.  Though as tough as they are, they all still need an angel to watch over them.

USMC Angels is determined to be there for each and every Marine, through his or her time of need.

Thanks to the support of our Woodbridge Township Mayor John McCormac, we now have drop off receptacles in Woodbridge Town Hall (1 Main Street, Woodbridge, NJ) as well as The Woodbridge Community Center (600 Main Street, Woodbridge)

Anything you can provide will go a long way. You can drop off cards, letters, artwork from your kids, or small basic needs items....monetary donations are used to cover postage for packages.

We are working with the City of Carteret's Mayor Reiman as well to provide the same programs there. Donation drop off locations are at the Tax Annex building on Cooke Street as well as Borough Hall. 

Mayor Wilda Diaz of Perth Amboy has come aboard as well.  We currently have 3 drop off locations in the city of Perth Amboy.
